The Problem
This project showcases the depth of our development capability. Golden Hands is a start-up poker company that needed to build a new-concept card game for the Indian gambling market. The concept was complex and difficult to explain verbally --- they needed investors to experience the gameplay firsthand.
What We Built
We built a high-end demonstration version of a five-card draw poker game, custom-engineered from the ground up. The front end was built in Next.js with TypeScript, delivering a polished, responsive interface that communicated credibility to serious investors. The back end runs on Express with TypeScript, handling all game logic --- hand evaluation algorithms, card dealing mechanics, betting rounds, and a simulated currency system --- entirely server-side to prevent client-side manipulation. Real-time multiplayer functionality was implemented using WebSockets, enabling live gameplay between multiple connected players with minimal latency. The demo allowed investors to sit down, play the game with simulated currency, experience the mechanics firsthand, and understand the commercial potential without a single slide deck or pitch document.
The Outcome
The MVP successfully attracted investment interest and moved the project forward into its next development phase. Specific financial outcomes have been excluded for commercial confidentiality, but references are available.
