Yvon Chouinard is giving up his Patagonia to help battle climate change. 🌎

📰Patagonia is a company for outdoor wear and camping goods. Mr Chouinard founded in 1973, became a company that reflected his idealistic priorities. Yvon Chouinard is an established author that has written books such as ‘Let my people go surfing. Mr Chouinard is also an outdoorsman favouring spending his time rock climbing and fly fishing.

➡️In 2014, Patagonia supported the documentary film 'DAMNATION', which is about challenging attitudes toward America's environment. Chouinard was the executive producer of the film, and he was also featured in the film commenting about the current state of the dams.
➡️In 2022, Chouinard announced that he was donating ownership in Patagonia to TRUST, to ensure profits are used for addressing climate change.

Earth is now our only shareholder. If we have any hope of a thriving planet—much less a business—it is going to take all of us doing what we can with the resources…
we’re doing our best to address the environmental crisis it’s not enough. We need to find a way to put more money into fighting the crisis while keeping the company’s values intact.
